PRP / PRFM

PRP / PRFM

At any age, we want to look our very best. However, common skin conditions may be bothersome and affect our appearance.

Fine lines, wrinkles and crinkles are a normal part of aging. However, wrinkles that occur early in life can be the result of smoking or sun damage. Sunspots, scars, sagging and melasma—brown or blue-gray patches or freckle-like spots—not to mention hair loss, may also affect how we look and feel.

The Treatment

Thanks to the Art of Skin Dermatology, you don’t have to live with flawed skin—we offer cosmetic dermatology treatments such as PRP/PRFM.

  • Platelet-rich plasma therapy, or PRP, is a non-surgical method of skin rejuvenation that uses your own blood to improve the appearance of facial tissue and treating alopecia
  • Platelet-rich fibrin matrix (SELPHYL®) is an enhanced form of PRP  that also uses your own drawn blood to produce a plasma serum to use for minimally invasive cosmetic enhancements

PRP/PRFM are proven methods for:

  • Hair growth
  • Facial rejuvenation, improving skin color, texture and tone, as well as reducing wrinkles and fine lines
  • Acne scarring
  • Neck rejuvenation
  • Melasma

Hair Loss

Hair loss, medically known as alopecia, occurs when the normal cycle of hair growth is disrupted. While hair loss can happen anywhere on the body, it most commonly affects the scalp. The scalp typically has around 100,000 hairs that go through cycles of growth, rest, shedding, and regeneration.

Microneedling

Microneedling is suitable for almost anyone looking to achieve noticeably refreshed and glowing skin, regardless of age or skin type. It is particularly beneficial for individuals with thick or thin skin, as it aids in building new tissue and improving skin texture. Patients with acne scars or scars from injuries can also benefit from microneedling, as it helps remodel scar tissue.
